IPsec
- Overview
- IPsec (Internet Protocol Security) enables network devices, including this printer, to talk to other devices securely over a network.
- The IPsec functionality on this device enables you to perform this secure communication in a number of different ways.
- A brief description of these ways is given in this help file.
- Unless you are the IT administrator and have knowledge about IPsec, we recommend that you do not change any of these settings.
- Creating and then implementing an IPsec Policy on this device requires 2 steps.
- 1. IPsec Address Template: is used to define the IP address of this device and the devices on your LAN / WAN that you want it to talk to using IPsec.
- 2. IPsec Template: is used to configure the actual IPsec settings, such as type and level of security.
- For more granular control, these pre-configured templates can be edited.
- Alternatively you can create your own.
